Strop from Latigo leather prime class
with a excellent measurements of 21" L X 3" W
3" Lederriemen aus Ladigo Leather erster Klasse
Latigo ist ein Name von braun eingefärbtem Leder, durch einen bestimmten Prozeß und ist fast immer Rindsleder.
Öle und Wachse werden ins Leder eingebracht. Es wurde ausdrücklich nicht nur für Strops gemacht, aber es hat ausgezeichnete Merkmale dafür. Es hat eine gut geeignete Dichte da die Poren des Leders mit Wachsen gefüllt sind und damit weniger Feuchtigkeit aufnimmt. Es tendiert nicht leicht auf zu schwämen wie viele andere Strops.
Auf dem ersten Bild ist der Vorteil von einem breiten Strop zu sehen. Der vollständige Rand liegt am Leder an.

Latigo is a name applied to leather a tanned by a certain process and is almost always Cowhide.
Oils and waxes are impregnated into the leather. It was not made specifically for strops but has best characteristics for.
It help create a nice heavy draw and since the pores in the leather are filled with
the waxes they tend to absorb.
On the first picture you can see the advantage of a wide Strop. The complete edge lies on the leather.
